SAES Getters’ Newly Opened Taiwanese Branch Exhibits for the First Time at Flat Panel Displays in Taipei
SAES Getters Taiwan Branch will showcase the Group cutting-edge technologies for the flat panel display market

The SAES Getters Group, world leader in getter technology for cathode ray tubes and in mercury dispensers for LCD production, is pleased to announce that its new Taiwanese branch office will exhibit at FPD Taiwan 2006 (booth #D1133), one of the major industry tradeshows for the flat panel display (FPD) manufacturing technologies.
The new branch office, based in Jhubei City, adds up to SAES’ other six facilities in China, Korea, Singapore and Japan to provide sales and service support to customers throughout Asia. SAES Taiwan Branch office will sustain SAES Getters’ sales penetration into a geographic area that is strategically important to the Group, through the provisioning of local technical and sales support. It will be responsible for the commercial activities of all SAES product lines, spanning from the traditional getter and metal dispensing solutions to the cutting-edge getter thin films for wafer-level MEMS and to the new advanced material products, which include the optical crystals and the shape memory alloy components.
“LCD market particularly is becoming more and more important in Taiwan, which is growing into one of the largest clusters of LCD display and component manufacturers, encompassing the cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) producers who represent our specific sales target for the LCD business. It is therefore imperative for us to maintain a close, direct relationship with this industry in order to assure a more effective, convenient and on-time service”, commented Mr. Giancamillo Mazzeri, Commercial Director at the SAES Getters Group.

Branch Manager Mr. Willy Wei will lead SAES Getters’ Taiwan office. Leveraging a sound experience as Deputy General Manager at Ritek Corporation, one of the most important media manufacturers in Taiwan, and having served previously as Sales Director at the Taiwanese color monitor manufacturer Bridge Information Co., Mr. Wei will bring SAES a wealth of knowledge in the Taiwanese information display market. “Besides being appealing from a sales viewpoint, Taiwan is interesting to SAES because its development policy is characterized by strong investments in research and development of new technologies, hence it offers SAES Getters, always at the forefront of R&D, a fruitful ground to build and strengthen co-operations for the development of applied research projects", said Mr. Wei.
