Smartflex Microsprings
SmartFlex Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) microsprings are specifically designed for electrical actuators with strict packaging constraints, providing small forces while delivering 5 times the travel of a standard wire. With a typical outer diameter (OD) range of 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm, forces ranging from 0.25 Newton to 5 Newton, and stroke range of 4 mm to 20 mm, these microsprings offer enhanced performance in compact applications. The unique sensing and actuation capabilities of SMA materials can also be leveraged for thermostatic applications requiring miniature thermal switches.
