Smartflex Wires
SAES offers SmartFlex Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) wires for actuators with a range of diameters from 20 microns to 500 microns. Custom diameters can also be provided upon request. Our SMA wires are available in Binary (NiTi) and Ternary (NiTiCu) alloys with different temperature ranges, commonly +95°C and +75°C. These wires are stabilized during the manufacturing process, ensuring high stability and fatigue resistance. They operate within a stress range of 50MPa to 400MPa, while typical operating forces range from 0.1 N to 40 N within the specified wire diameters. Moreover, typical operating strain conditions range from 1% to 5%.
